Throughout the class, we will observe how weight enters the body,
how it is distributed,
and how the way we use our support influences how we move.
This class is organized in two parts.
A first, shorter section where I share specific anatomical and biomechanical insights
relevant for tango dancers, focused on the feet.
Through simple visual explanations, we look at how the structure of the foot
relates to support and weight organization.
The second part is a guided practice,
where these ideas are brought into the body through simple exercises.
We will explore how to prepare the foot for dancing
and how to reorganize it after use.
There is also a specific application to tango high-heeled shoes.
The foot does not only support.
It also perceives, adapts and organizes the rest of the body.
